Worldwide truffle plantation establishment

Mycorrhizal Systems Ltd. are currently seeking partners
from a wide range of countries for the establishment of truffle plantations.

Access to the worlds largest research database

One of the most exciting aspects of Mycorrhizal Systems model is that we have a number of plantations across the globe in a very broad range of climatic and soil conditions. All the plantations have been established, managed and monitored with exactly the same methods and this leads to what we now believe is the largest unified data-set in truffle cultivation in the world. This makes our research extremely strong and also allows experimentation with a huge number of systems. Dealing with climatic extremes also keeps us well placed to advise partner growers if/when they see any shifts in climatic conditions - several of our sites have data being recorded every 20minutes, 24 hours a day. It is this kind of research, attention to detail and scale that really sets us apart.

Low establishment costs

1Ha of truffle plantation can be established through the partnership
programme for as little as £3,000.

Expertise

You will receive full guidance, expertise, training, intensive
scientific monitoring and be on the forefront of truffle production
technology.

Harvesting and distribution

We will guide you on harvesting methods and can distribute the truffles through our network (if required).

UK based introduction trials suitable for forested areas

In addition to truffle plantation establishment, Mycorrhizal Systems
are also searching for landowners who have trees on their land and wish
to participate in our mature-tree inoculation trials. We are working with
a range of high value fungal species and so a wide range of soil types
and geographical locations are suitable. The species we are working with
range from UK truffles to several boletus species. Preliminary evidence
suggests that such trials can produce significant numbers of truffles/mushrooms
in as little as two years. If you are interested in participating in these

Buy Trees

The tree shop is now open. If you are only interested in a small number
of trees for your garden then the tree shop is ideal. The trees are provided
certificated and with full planting instructions, they also make an ideal
gift!
