Dates for truffle-dog trials and mini truffle-fest

This year the truffle-dog-training-school (Truffle Hunters) is planning the first ever Great
British truffle-dog-trials. With a long history of harvesting wild truffles, it’s amazing that we’ve never had such an event before. The trials are tentatively booked for the 17th of August 2008 (although this may be subject to change). There will also be two cultivation workshops and fresh truffles on sale!

    The prime tree planting time November – March is upon us. Traditionally, November to March are good months to plant, as the trees are dormant and planting in the winter allows the truffley-roots plenty of time to settle in before mycorrhiza and root-growth starts again in spring.
