Dates for the next big mycorrhiza meeting in Chile 2009

The dates of the next International Workshop on Edible Mycorrhiza Mushrooms (IWEMM6) have just been released. This academic conference, held every two years, is a forum for the discussion of research into all areas of edible mycorrhizal mushrooms (including truffles). In 2009 the event will be held in Talca (Chile) between the 19th and 23rd of October. We plan to present several large data sets at the conference and our very own Dr Paul Thomas will be sitting on the international scientific committee.
UPDATE: Please note, this has now been postponed and the conference will now be held in Morocco in April 2011.

The prime tree planting time November – March is upon us. Traditionally, November to March are good months to plant, as the trees are dormant and planting in the winter allows the truffley-roots plenty of time to settle in before mycorrhiza and root-growth starts again in spring.
